124123 Dialer Profile
Title: 124123 Dialer
Also Known as: AInst, rb32, RBlast, ActiveInstaller
Severity scale:
124123 Dialer was first discovered on June 1 of 2005. It is unknown who its distributor is, but it is most likely transmitted from pornographic websites. Considered the first of the class of malware programs called “Trojans,” Dialers have little intent but to bring harm to users.
124123 Dialer, as most programs of its type, is installed on your computer by an ActiveX drive-by download. It has also been seen to be manually installed in some cases. In fact, many Dialers claim to provide a service that connects the user to “exclusive porn content.”
124123 Dialer’s main attack is that it hijacks your computer’s dial-up modem. A random pop-up dialer will appear asking for your country of origin. It then exploits it to call long distance, 911 services or “900” phone numbers instead of the user’s typical Internet service provider. This can result in enormous phone bills and trouble with the police. The vendor shares in the profits with the phone number’s server, if they aren’t themselves the owner.
124123 Dialer can also serve as a component for other malware programs. Trojans, such as Downloaders and Backdoors are common, as are Worms. This has become a more typical use for Dialers since dial-up modems are being used less often. In this capacity, it provides the connection to the server, usually by IRC technology.
If you discover that you are infected with 124123 Dialer, you should remove it immediately with a trusted antispyware program such as SpyZooka. SpyZooka guarantees 100% removal of 124123 Dialer.

I had a problem of getting rid of ActiveInstaller on my computer. I’ve used Adaware several times today, and everytime at the end when you quarantine and delete, Adaware goes all the way to the end of the Deleting bars, but just sits there and never finishes. The program is still there upon rescan… I tried with lots of anti viruses, but nothing happen until I found SpyZooka. I appreciate your help!
