AdwarePunisher is a rogue security application that claims to be able to guard against and remove adware. However, anyone who crosses paths with this rogue soon discovers that it is powerless against adware or any other malware. AdwarePunisher also uses devious methods of promulgation, including Trojan horses that download and installs it secretly. Once it has been installed, the user will be subjected to false security alerts and phony system scans, the results of which are fraudulent.
If AdwarePunisher infects your computer, it will hinder performance and Internet speed. It will hijack your browser and download additional adware. If you were to buy it, you would be wasting your money and giving your credit card information to criminals. That is why this rogue should be removed immediately. Finally, delete this directory:
C:\Program Files\AdwarePunisher
You will be able to remove AdwarePunisher with these instructions, but no other malware. If you don’t remove the Trojan that installed it in the first place, then you will continue to have problems.
