AlphaAV is a rogue antivirus application that is promoted through Trojan horse programs. They download it and install it secretly, then the user is bombarded with false security alerts and phony scans. The scans will inevitably generate bogus results and then pressure the user into paying to register the useless program.
If purchased, the user will be sorely disappointed since AlphaAV doesn’t offer any real protection. Instead, it hands the user’s credit card information over to criminals, hinders computer performance, slows the Internet connection, and downloads more malware. Because of this malevolent behavior, AlphaAV should not be bought and removed as soon as possible. In order to remove it manually, kill the following process:
AlphaAntivirus.exe
AlphaAV.exe
Type : Rogue Security Application
Relative file contents : AlphaAntivirus.exe, AlphaAV.exe, Alpha Antivirus
Delete these registry entries:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run “Alpha Antivirus”
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Alpha Antivirus
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Alpha Antivirus
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alpha Antivirus
Delete these files:
AlphaAntivirus.exe
AlphaAV.exe
Alpha Antivirus
Finally, delete these directories:
%Program Files%\Alpha Antivirus
%Documents and Settings%\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Alpha Antivirus
%Documents and Settings%\All Users\Application Data\Alpha Antivirus
AlphaAV can be removed by following these instructions, but manual removal isn’t the best way to go. Manual removal only gets rid of the rogue security program, but not the Trojan that installed it in the first place and all other malware that may have also been downloaded. Instead, you should use a credible antispyware program to find and remove all malicious software at once.

Alpha Av was horrible, i got it on my pc just surfing the net, I can’t even remember how I got it. I tried using Superantispyware, Xoftspy, Noadware, but none of them worked and their customer support was terrible.

I had that problem too. I don’t know since when alpha av was in my pc, but it destroyed my life, my credit card was empty, and I was searching for a new anti-virus.

My anti virus trial expired and my kids didn’t tell me..For a few days, they were online downloading music and videos unprotected. I finally seen it and install another anti virus trial. Got on myspace a few days ago and was in the applications when a ALPHA ANTI VIRUS popped up. Found out that was a virus itself and I tried to get rid of that. It was the worst thing that could happen, because I’m not good at all at computers… Thanks to SpyZooka I’m released now. I guess I couldn’t do nothing by myself.
I didn’t know how to get rid of “AlphaAV”… I was so stupid to download it and that was a wrong decision. I ended the Alpha AV process, deleted the entire folder, restarted. Nothing. Did a malwarebytes scan. Nothing. Did the scan again in safe mode. Nothing. I asked some people that know some things about computers and they recommend me to try this removal tool. That was the best thing for my computer and I hope not to be such an idiot in the future
