An Agent of Disorder in Disguise: TMAagent

TMAagent is a Trojan Dropper Adware hailing from Russia. It was created by Target Marketing Agency and was released just a month or two ago. It comes as a part of a software download bundle.

TMAagent disguises itself as a Browser Helper Object (BHO) in the form of a toolbar. This toolbar purports to be able to make specific Internet searches. It would be handy if it actually worked that way.

TMAagent’s main function is to generate pop up ads. These ads are irrelevant to the reason you downloaded the tool to begin with. It’s all for affiliates of Target Marketing Agency. They exist to annoy you.

TMAagent continually runs in the background. It stays on waiting for the chance to initiate the pop ups. This occurs when you start up your Internet browser.

With TMAagent running all the time, you are effectively wasting valuable virtual memory. While this is becoming less of an issue with larger RAM cards, your computer will start running slower. If you don’t have more than a Gig of RAM, your browsers and larger programs can crash. Even worse, your computer may crash.

Since TMAagent is so new, no one has effectively identified it as a spyware program or an adware one. My philosophy is that you don’t want either of them, so it doesn’t really matter. SpyZooka can kill it just the same.

When you think about it, whether it’s stealing your information or merely annoying you, you don’t want TMAagent around. The service it claims to offer is useless, it interferes with your productivity, and it may very well compromise your security. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

While there are TMAagent manual removal instructions on the Internet, the average PC user shouldn’t try to use them. They can be confusing and inaccurate, and may lead to serious damage of your computer.

Instead, you should try SpyZooka. We save you all the complicated steps in manual removal, and our removal of TMAagent and other bugs is 100% guaranteed.
