Strange happenings with your computer may point to an infection with Win32.Netbfx.  Once this backdoor Trojan has invaded, it will drop a file into your Windows system directory.  Now that your computer is compromised, it will listen in on a random port for instructions from its maker – a hacker.  It will then grant access to this hacker, which will make it possible for him to launch applications and ultimately, control your infected system.  The hacker is searching for useful confidential information for his own malicious purposes.

To steer clear of this pest, it is best to use caution when using Internet Relay Chat, Peer-to-Peer file sharing networks and opening e-mail attachments.  This spyware will run on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and XP.
