PC Privacy Defender is yet another rogue security application that is trying to steal money from people. It infects a computer through Trojan horse exploits and then proceeds to deceive the infected user. It will create fake security warnings in an attempt to scare the user into letting it scan their computer.
The scan that PC Privacy Defender performs is completely fraudulent and only yields fake results. These results will also be used to scare the user. The user will be told that the threats can only be removed if they pay for the full version of PC Privacy Defender. However, the full version of this program doesn’t do anything to protect the computer or remove any real threats that may exist.
