SafeFighter is a rogue security program that advertises aggressively to the user, warning of infections that supposedly exist on their PC. The files detected by SafeFighter if the scan is downloaded are created by the program, and are completely harmless. SafeFighter claims to detect and remove infections, although it is not capable of doing so. The scare tactics used are a ploy to get the user to purchased the licensed product, which is useless. SafeFighter may cause your PC to become slow or unstable, and may also access private information. Additional malware may be installed as well.

To remove SafeFighter manually, all running process must first be killed, then related files and values in the Windows registry detected so that they can be deleted. Manual removal is difficult and may cause damage to your computer if not done correctly, so it is not advised.
