VirusBye is a rogue security program designed to frighten users into believing that security threats exist on their PC, therefore convincing them to purchase the product as a solution. VirusBye is not capable of scanning your computer, nor can it detect or remove anything. It is designed by hackers for the purpose of taking your money. VirusBye may track your online activities and collect information about your browsing habits. These malicious applications also commonly affect computer performance, as they use a large amount of system resources and may disable system files that are necessary for proper performance. In some cases, they may affect your hard drive or cause your system to crash.

VirusBye may be removed manually by killing all associated processes and detecting related files in order to delete them. However, this process is extremely difficult because these files easily hide from the user. When not done correctly, manual removal may result in severe computer damage.
