Spyzooka Keeping an Eye on Malware Monitor

Released on October 5, 2007, Malware Monitor is still going strong in the world of rogue anti-spyware.  It is one of many MalWarrior, MalwareProtector, Mal-whatever-you want to say (I don’t want to give them any new ideas.)  It seems that finding titles for these programs may be the most challenging part, because every program of this genre seem to run the same way.

Here’s how it goes.  You come across it by way of manual install.  It may come as an advertisement banner or pop-up on another website.  At this point, you may still have a choice in the matter.  The only choice seems to be to click the “X” in the upper right-hand corner.  If you picked another door, you may have been given the gift of free trial software and a Trojan!  The trial version will scan and report imaginary threats.

I would like to stop for a moment and point out some well-designed features of this program.  When you are directed to the homepage, you may notice that you are offered a 20% discount from $39.95 to $29.95.  How can a program so good at scamming money be so bad at math?  The grammar is a dead giveaway that something is fishy.  After downloading the trial version, did you get, “You Computer Is Infected?”  Try, “You Grammar is Horrible.”

Here’s the kicker.  The pick up line goes like this, “If you’re unhappy, we’re unhappy… then MalwareAlarm’s unhappy. And, that just simply will not do.” Okay, thanks.  Who is MalwareAlarm?  They really should have someone read over the information they steal from other phony anti-spyware webpages.

At this point, you may have decided not to purchase Malware Monitor, but the pop-ups won’t stop.  You are going to have to remove the trial version and whatever else came with it.   The options are endless.  You can sift through a tower of removal instructions.  Be prepared to spend a significant amount of time finding all the files.  You may decide to just purchase a program.  Which ones are real?  After you figure that out which ones work, some people swear that you have to download at least two programs to have adequate protection.  In most cases, you do.  Just hope that whatever files one didn’t catch, the other one did.  You are still on shaky ground.

Here’s where Spyzooka steps in.  Not only do we excel in our customer service standards, but our technology stands on its own.  I only know of a handful of programs that use a robot to constantly surf the ‘Net 24/7 for new spyware, definitions, and updates.

Removing software like Malware Monitor is not a proactive process.  Our robot is able to catch the newest trends before you do.  If you don’t get your spyware removed on the first scan, you just upload it and send the results to us.  We will have it fixed within 24 hours, 100% removal guaranteed.
